ARTS EXCHANGE

1. Urban Imaginary Series (UIS)

UIS is an international project series on alternative cultural and arts strategies to our prevalent urban conditions. It is an advocacy to enhance the interdisciplinary discourse and practice of arts, architecture and cultural policy through exhibitions, urban interventions, web projects and publications. 

UIS1: Cultural Exchange between Vienna and Hong Kong (2008–09)

Theme: Cities of Desire - on Place-Making and Identity Politics 

Cities of Desire: Vienna -Hong Kong takes the form of an interdisciplinary arts exchange between the two cities. The project deals with the critique of image representation and place production in city regions and advocates alternative art practices for place-making.

Programme in Hong Kong 2009:
city transit Asia-Europe will cooperate with the Community Museum Project and launch the second part of Cities of Desire in Hong Kong in Autumn 2009. The programme includes an exhibition, seminar and art interventions.


2. Landmark2.0 - an international public art series

Landmark2.0 is a collection of socio-political artistic interventions in cities, that envisages alternative place-making practices by incorporating local cultural resources and re-appropriating urban space and its infrastructure. city transit will cooperate with local partners to activate new perspectives in different cities. 
Landmark2.0 is conceived and curated by Hilary Tsui

3. Cooperation with sidewalkCINEMA 

city transit cooperated with Wolke7, an urban initiative in Vienna, on the Kaiserstrasse sidewalkcinema film festival in 2006 and 2007.
